Weezledog Hoppiness XPAAn extra pale ale, not just an ale that is extra pale. At the stronger end of the style, reasonably dry with restrained bitterness, but a whole lot of late hopping provides massive grapefruit, some lemon, and lime, and a touch of sour malt gives a slight tart edge that really helps to accentuate the citrusy hops.Expected Brew Figures: (based on 80% mash efficiency)OG: 1.055FG: 1.010IBU: Approx. 45ABV: 5.9%Volume: 23LIngredients:3.0kg of Gladfield American Ale Malt2.0kg of Pilsner Malt500g of Flaked Wheat200g of Sour Grapes100g of Southern Cross hops150g of Wai-iti hops100g of Motueka hops2x Safale US-05 YeastWater Additions: (Not Included)3.1g Calcium Sulphate2.3g Calcium Chloride2.3g Magnesium SulphateMethod:1. Mash with 21L water at 65 C for 90 mins. (Add Water Additions Here) 2. Mash out at 76C for 10 mins.3. Sparge with 12L at 76C4. Boil for 90 mins.5. At 60 mins add 5g Southern Cross hops6. At 10 mins add 1tsp Irish Moss7. At 0 minutes turn off the heat8. Chill wort below 90C and add 100g of Wai-iti hops, 50g Motueka hops and 45g of Southern Cross hops9. Whirlpool for 20 mins. (Whirlpool: turn the boil off and either stirring fast/recirculate so it "whirlpools" for the duration) 10. Cool down and add to your fermenter as usual11. When the temperature is between 18-23C add Safale US-05 Yeast12. Leave for 4-5 days and add the rest of the Hops for 5days13. Remove Hops and Cold Crash 7days @1C14. Keg or bottle as usual (Aging beer 7days if no cold crash)

We will only deliver to a New Zealand address at this point in time. We don’t deliver to PO Boxes.

Pickup orders may show available in store on the product page but may not be available in the quantities in your cart. You may have to adjust the quantities in your cart at checkout to be able to pick up at a specific store.

  • Pickup Orders are confirmed once checked by staff at location of pickup. Please wait to be contacted by staff before coming to store. 

Photo ID Of Person Who's Name is On The Order Must Be Presented to staff when picking up and must match name on order. We do not accept name changes of orders once placed so please make sure you are filling in the correct details. 

If goods are Not Received within 7 days of purchase, contact us.

Any Damaged or Missing Items from your order must be brought to our attention within 7 days of receiving your order.

If your item is Oversized or More Than 25kg you may be contacted for an additional freight charge to be calculated upon picking of order. 

We use Courier Post as our freight provider. Prices and providers are subject to change without prior notice.

To ensure successful delivery make sure there is some one Present at the Delivery Address during business hours.

Delivery times are normally 1-2 days to the North Island and 2-5 days to the South island once dispatched. Rural delivery can take an extra day longer.
